Drug operation targeting celebrities in İstanbul: Detention order for 25 people

As part of the drug investigation conducted by the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, a detention order was issued for 25 suspects, including famous artists. It was stated that evidence was found in the investigation indicating that the suspects used drugs, facilitated this use, and procured locations.

In the operation conducted by the İstanbul Provincial Gendarmerie Command teams, 10 suspects, including singer İlyas Yalçıntaş, Sıla Gençoğlu, and producer Mehmet Fatih Aksoy, were detained. During the search conducted at İlyas Yalçıntaş's house, a precision scale and materials evaluated to be used for drug consumption were seized.

It was reported that the suspects within the scope of the operation launched to combat drugs threatening public health will be referred to the prosecutor's office to have their statements taken and biological examinations conducted. It was learned that efforts are ongoing to capture the other suspects, including actors, businesspeople, and business operators.
