15 fugitives caught in Karaman in one week, 8 arrested

Karaman Provincial Police Department conducted comprehensive public order, traffic, and narcotics operations between June 22-28, 2026. As a result, 15 wanted individuals were apprehended, and 8 suspects were arrested and sent to prison after being referred to judicial authorities. During the week, police checked 1,715 people through the General Information Collection (GBT) system and worked intensively to capture fugitives.

Traffic inspections yielded significant results. Officers took action against 52 drivers for driving without a license or with an inadequate license, 26 drivers for driving in a manner disturbing public peace and order, and 19 drivers for drunk driving. Additionally, 113 vehicles were impounded, and 26 drivers' licenses were confiscated. These inspections aim to improve traffic safety and prevent accidents.

Numerous weapons and drugs were seized during the operations. Seized items include 4 unlicensed pistols, 2 unlicensed rifles, 1 blank gun, 39 pistol cartridges, 16 blank gun cartridges, 4 cutting and piercing tools, 71 grams of bonzai, 22 synthetic drugs, 14 grams of cannabis, 237 doses of A4 synthetic cannabinoid, 1 gram of methamphetamine, and 1 gram of heroin. These substances were confiscated as part of the fight against criminal organizations and drug trafficking.

Karaman Provincial Police Department emphasized that efforts will continue uninterruptedly for the peace and safety of citizens. The statement noted that inspections and operations will proceed day and night without regard to working hours. Police officials highlighted the importance of public support and expressed their determination in the fight against crime.
