TMO's New Collection Point in Kastamonu Provides Great Convenience to Farmers

As part of the efforts to support agricultural production in Kastamonu, new steps are being taken for farmers. In this context, the Toprak Mahsulleri Ofisi (TMO) has launched a grain collection point in the Gölköy region for the first time this year. AK Parti Kastamonu Deputy Serap Ekmekci made a visit to inspect the new collection point on site. During the visit, assessments were made regarding the challenges faced by the producers in the region and potential solutions. These investments are expected to provide significant relief to the region's farmers during the harvest season.

The TMO Kastamonu Branch Directorate accelerated its activities with a permanent structure in 2023 and placed significant emphasis on modern infrastructure investments. In this context, the collection point that became operational in Gölköy this year greatly facilitates the process of collecting agricultural products in the region. Thanks to this newly developed infrastructure, farmers have the opportunity to deliver their crops much faster and more safely. The role of these centers is crucial in preventing the negative consequences of the congestion experienced especially during the harvest season. Equipped with modern technology, the facilities both save time and allow production processes to continue uninterrupted.

It has been announced that grain collections started as planned as of 7 Temmuz and are being successfully maintained. In the assessments made by Deputy Ekmekci, it was stated that the daily collection capacity can be increased if necessary to ensure that farmers are not victimized. This flexible collection policy implemented stands out as a tremendous advantage for producers who want to deliver their crops. Thanks to this, farmers can complete their transactions without leaving their products waiting in the fields or warehouses. The aim is to ensure that producers in the region receive the reward for their labor without experiencing any loss of time.

The appointment system implemented by TMO ensures that the collection processes operate both in an orderly and planned manner. Farmers can come to the facilities at predetermined times to deliver their products, thereby preventing long queues. The elimination of congestion-related delays is considered a detail that greatly facilitates the work of producers. Additionally, thanks to the transparency of the system, it is ensured that the products are received completely and safely. The timely and complete payments are increasing the satisfaction level of agricultural workers in the region day by day.

Deputy Ekmekci, who made statements during the visit, drew attention to the critical importance of the agricultural sector for the country and regional economy. She emphasized that they always stand by the producers and make every effort to solve the problems they face. It was stated that all steps are closely monitored to ensure that the grain collection processes progress smoothly, quickly, and fairly. Ekmekci wished a bountiful, profitable, and healthy harvest season for all farmers who labor in the fields. Such initiatives implemented in Kastamonu directly contribute to increasing the economic welfare of farmers while strengthening regional agriculture.
