A comprehensive operation was conducted in the early hours of the morning targeting the Şoför Esnaf Kefalet Kredi Kooperatifi. The operation of audit mechanisms in cooperatives, known locally as 'Esnaf Kefalet' and engaged in artisan-oriented credit provision activities, has come back to the agenda with this incident. Although cooperatives generally operate to alleviate the economic burden of their members, it is evident that such financial abuses can occur when managers remain unsupervised.
