Suspect who stabbed and killed his stepmother and sister is taken into custody in Konya

In the chilling incident that took place in the Selçuklu district of Konya, a suspect named R.Ö. stabbed and killed his stepmother Dursuniye Öztürk and sister Esmanur Öztürk following an argument over an unknown reason. The incident occurred in an apartment located on the second floor of a 3-story building in Işıklar Mahallesi.

Upon the notification of nearby citizens, police and medical teams dispatched to the scene apprehended the suspect at home before he could flee. Checks conducted determined that the stepmother and sister had lost their lives at the scene. The bodies of the deceased were taken to the Konya Forensic Medicine Institution morgue for an autopsy.

The suspect's father, who was at home during the incident, was taken to the hospital for check-ups. The detained suspect R.Ö. was taken to the police station, while the investigation launched into the incident is ongoing.
