The Hague-based Eye Security raises €60M for European expansion

Eye Security, a cybersecurity company based in The Hague, has raised €60 million in funding to fuel its growth across Europe. The investment round was led by Belgian investor Sofina. The company plans to use the funds to expand its presence in the European market and develop new products. Eye Security specializes in providing cybersecurity solutions for small and medium-sized enterprises. The increasing focus on digital autonomy and cybersecurity in Europe is driving demand for local solutions.

New European Union regulations and the emphasis on digital sovereignty are boosting interest in homegrown cybersecurity firms. Eye Security aims to capitalize on this trend by expanding its customer base across Europe. The company sees growth opportunities particularly in Germany, France, and the Benelux countries. The investment is expected to support research and development efforts as well as strengthen sales teams.

Eye Security's co-founder and CEO, Job Kuijpers, stated that the investment is a significant step toward realizing the company's vision. Kuijpers emphasized the need for Europe to develop its own cybersecurity solutions. The company plans to broaden its product portfolio to offer more comprehensive services to clients. It is also working on AI-powered security solutions.

In addition to Sofina, existing investors also participated in the round, reflecting confidence in Eye Security's business model and growth potential. The company had previously raised €15 million in 2021 and €25 million in 2022. With the new funding, total capital raised exceeds €100 million.
