Two light commercial vehicles collide in Mardin: 8 injured

A traffic accident occurred in the Kızıltepe district of Mardin, Turkey, when two light commercial vehicles collided, leaving eight people injured. The accident took place on a rural road between the Yumurcak and Arıklı neighborhoods. According to initial reports, a vehicle with license plate 47 MA 5387 collided with another light commercial vehicle whose plate has not yet been identified. The impact caused the 47 MA 5387 vehicle to roll into a ditch. A total of eight people in both vehicles were injured in the crash.

The injured individuals have been identified as B.İ. (32), A.E. (39), M.E. (13), R.A. (20), A.A. (17), H.E. (15), C.E. (3), and Y.E. (7). After receiving first aid at the scene from emergency medical teams, all injured were transported by ambulances to Kızıltepe State Hospital. Hospital officials reported that the condition of the injured is good and they are receiving necessary treatment. An investigation into the accident has been initiated by the gendarmerie.

Upon receiving the accident report, health, fire, and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene. The teams arrived quickly and provided medical assistance to the injured. Firefighters took safety measures around the vehicle that had rolled into the ditch. Gendarmerie teams began working to determine the cause of the accident. Preliminary examinations at the scene indicated that the collision occurred between the two vehicles.

At Kızıltepe State Hospital, the injured are reported to be in stable condition with no life-threatening injuries. Hospital authorities stated that the necessary medical interventions have been performed and the patients' health status is being monitored. Some of the injured have started to be discharged, while others remain under observation. The accident caused temporary traffic congestion in the area.

This accident once again highlights the road safety issues in the Mardin region, where traffic accidents frequently occur. Authorities have called on drivers to be cautious and obey traffic rules.
