3.2 Tons of Methamphetamine Seized from Mexico to the US

A major operation against drug trafficking from Mexico to the US has been carried out. The US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced that 3.2 tons of methamphetamine were seized at the World Trade Bridge in Laredo, Texas, on July 6. The drug was hidden in a shipment of polypropylene from Mexico. This incident highlights the inadequacy of measures against drug trafficking at the Mexico-US border. Despite the military's control over Mexican customs for five years, the drug is often not stopped before reaching the US. Additionally, on the same day, 473 kilograms of methamphetamine were seized at the Pharr Bridge. These incidents indicate that measures against drug trafficking at the Mexico-US border need to be revised.
