Özgür Özel's new party establishment petition to be submitted to the Ministry of Interior on 27 July

The establishment petition for the new party to be founded under the leadership of CHP Group Chairman Özgür Özel is planned to be submitted to the Ministry of Interior on Monday, 27 July. In the road map clarified after the Ankara Regional Court of Justice's decision of "absolute defect" regarding the cancellation of CHP's 38th Convention and the party administration, it was learned that the party's name will be "Yeni Parti".

Özel is expected to take the podium for the last time as group chairman at tomorrow's CHP Group Meeting. Özel is anticipated to hold a series of meetings and consultations with elected CHP provincial chairmen, party administration, and deputies throughout this week. During these meetings, it is planned to evaluate the ongoing process and share messages regarding the new period.

Following the completion of the establishment procedures, a large-scale political transition process is expected to take place in the TBMM. While at least 70 deputies are expected to join the new party in the initial phase, it is stated that the timetable regarding the formation of the party administration and Parliamentary group will be shared with the public in the coming days.
