What Will the Weather Be Like in the Rivne Region Today? Heavy Showers and Thunderstorms Are Expected

Citizens living in the Rivne region of Ukraine should keep their umbrellas with them today. The latest weather forecasts for the region indicate that meteorological conditions will be highly variable throughout the day. On Sunday, July 12, partly cloudy and occasionally cloudy weather is expected to prevail across the region. The weather, which will start off calm, will fall under the influence of localized rainy systems in the following hours. Authorities advise the public to be careful and prepared against sudden weather changes throughout the day.

No significant precipitation is expected across the region during the night hours, and the weather will remain relatively calm. However, towards the morning, a light layer of fog is forecast to form in some areas. This fog layer could severely reduce visibility, especially for drivers who will be traveling in the morning hours. For this reason, transportation authorities emphasize the importance of extra caution and prudence in early morning traffic. The fog is likely to gradually dissipate around sunrise, giving way to a sunny morning.

In the later hours of the day, the weather will change significantly, and the sky will become more cloudy. The air masses expected to pass over the region will cause short but heavy showers starting from noon. Meteorologists warn that these showers may definitely be accompanied by thunderstorms in some areas. Conditions such as sudden wind and lightning that may occur during a thunderstorm could pose a risk to those in open areas. Therefore, it is strongly recommended that citizens take shelter in safe buildings or appropriate shelters as soon as weather conditions begin to worsen.

The prevailing wind in the region will generally blow from the northwest. Wind speed is expected to vary between 7 and 12 meters per second, remaining within seasonal norms. However, during thunderstorms, sudden and temporary increases in wind intensity may be observed. Air temperatures will show a significant difference between night and day. While thermometers will range between 8 and 13 degrees at night, the weather will warm up to between 18 and 23 degrees during the day.

In the centrally located city of Rivne, temperature values will follow a trend very close to the regional average. While the temperature in the city will measure around 10 to 12 degrees at night, daytime temperatures will be felt in the range of 20 to 22 degrees. Authorities once again reminded that drivers and pedestrians must exercise maximum caution against the foggy conditions in the morning hours. Furthermore, avoiding open areas during storms and sudden rainfall, and taking necessary safety precautions are of vital importance.
