Drunk driver bargained at the accident scene in Safranbolu, fled when police arrived

The events following a collision between a car and a light commercial vehicle in the Safranbolu district of Karabük led to interesting moments. Allegedly, the car driver, who was claimed to be drunk, did not want the police to be called and offered to pay for the other party's vehicle repairs with penalty money.

The incident occurred at the Akçasu TOKİ Kavşağı location on the Safranbolu-Bartın highway. While no one was injured in the accident, material damage occurred to both vehicles. Upon seeing the police teams arriving at the scene following a report, the drunk driver quickly sped away from the area in his vehicle.

The police launched an investigation to identify the fleeing driver. A total administrative fine of 51 thousand 662 liras was imposed on the driver's car license plate due to various violations.
