Saudi Arabia Launched the First Religious Training Program for Imams in the Maldives

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Da'wah, and Guidance of Saudi Arabia organized the first religious training program for imams, preachers, and muezzins in Male, the capital of the Maldives. This important step was realized through the Religious Attaché operating at the Indian Embassy, under the Saudi king known by the title Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. Starting on Saturday, the program aims to increase the competencies of religious officials in the Maldives and deepen their religious knowledge. The program is considered a significant development both in terms of strengthening Saudi Arabia's regional religious influence and for the local religious communities in the Maldives. Such trainings serve the goals of raising standards in Islamic sciences and increasing international religious cooperation.

The organized course includes a comprehensive curriculum aimed at the professional qualification of clergy who will serve in the Maldives.
