Trump announces that power plants and bridges will be struck if Iran does not negotiate

The United States, by order of President Donald Trump, reimposed the naval blockade on Iranian ports on 14 July. The decision is effective as of 20:00 GMT and covers all of Iran's coasts, oil terminals, and coastal areas, and will be applied to all ships regardless of their flag. US Central Command (CENTCOM) warned that ships failing to comply with the order could be stopped using force.

In parallel, Iranian media reported that US munitions struck Bandar Abbas, Qeshm Island, the Sirik region, and Ahvaz in the country's southwest. Trump stated that if Iran refuses to negotiate, attacks will be launched on power plants and bridges next week, adding that the attacks will stop "when I say enough." Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Garibabadi stated that the agreement minutes reached with the US have collapsed and that Tehran will maintain its sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz at all costs.

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense announced that a navy ship was targeted in an Iranian-sourced attack and four soldiers were wounded. Additionally, it was announced that 1 ballistic missile, 5 cruise missiles, and 33 unmanned aerial vehicles were detected and neutralized in the country. In contrast, the Iranian Revolutionary Guards claimed to have destroyed two HIMARS missile launchers, a Patriot air defense system, and radar facilities in Kuwait and Bahrain.
