Ukrainian Prime Minister Svyridenko Resigned, Decision to Be Addressed in Parliament

The resignation letter of Ukrainian Prime Minister Yuliya Sviridenko has been submitted to the Verkhovna Rada (the Parliament of Ukraine). Parliament Speaker Ruslan Stefanchuk stated in a statement via social media that the resignation request will be discussed soon within the framework of legal procedures.

Speaker Stefanchuk thanked Sviridenko for her efforts during a difficult period at the head of the government, for strengthening the economy, and for her efforts towards the European Union. This development is considered as part of the cabinet revision decision announced by Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelenski on 12 July.

Zelenski attributed the need to renew the government to their obligation to change the country's political strategy in order to ensure that every priority foreign policy area is managed by experienced figures. Sviridenko, who resigned from her post, had held the prime ministerial seat for approximately one year since the middle of July 2025.
