12 People Detained in Drug Operations in Uşak

In the province of Uşak, extensive drug operations carried out in the second half of june caused local security forces to intensify their surveillance and investigation activities. Simultaneous raids were conducted on addresses determined throughout the province, and decisive steps were taken to prevent the trade and use of illegal substances. Based on information obtained as a result of the intelligence studies of the police units, legal action was taken against a large number of suspects in the launched operations.

As a result of the search and scan activities of the security forces, different types of drugs ready to be supplied to the market or in stock were seized. Examinations regarding the quantity and type of these substances revealed the scale and severity of the incident, and it was stated that the ways of obtaining income against drug dealers were also blocked. It was expressed that the operations were not limited to raids, but also included strategic steps towards finding the source of the substances and deciphering the distribution network.

The suspects detained within the scope of the operation were referred to judicial authorities after their statements were taken at the police station, regarding the processes. Following the interrogations, while some were released under judicial control, there were also those for whom a detention decision was made. 12 of the suspects brought to court were arrested and sent to prison, considering the nature of the crime and the state of the evidence.

The investigation conducted under the coordination of the Uşak Chief Public Prosecutor's Office focused on completing the procedures of the suspects detained for the crime of manufacturing and trading drugs. Police officials announced to the public that the trend of combating drugs would continue uninterruptedly in order to ensure peace and security in the city, and that similar operations would continue. It was emphasized that citizens being sensitive to such activities and sharing information increased the success rate.

It was recorded that the main purpose of such operations is to cleanse the society of the scourge of drugs, which destroys the future of individuals and families, and that the increased inspections in Uşak recently are an indicator of this.
