Repair works continue in El Junquito following the June earthquakes in Venezuela

Executive Vice President of Venezuela Delcy Rodríguez inspected the structural repair and social assistance works in the El Junquito region following the earthquakes that occurred in June. During the visit, accompanied by Head of the Government of Caracas Nahum Fernández, Mayor Carmen Meléndez, and President of Gran Misión Venezuela Renace Jacqueline Faría, the civil works carried out in the region were closely supervised.

In the earthquake-affected region, expert teams are rapidly continuing debris removal and structural repair activities using heavy machinery. Additionally, authorities have deployed a monitoring system utilizing drone technology to map the topography of the lands and instantly assess the technical condition of the buildings.

It was reported that significant progress has been made in the region's public services as part of the works, and the electricity and clean water pipelines are being gradually repaired. Rodríguez conducted field assessments together with engineer Francisco Garcés, who manages the process of technically reinforcing the structures.
