TikTok to Pay $400 Million

TikTok will pay $400 million to settle a lawsuit alleging that it violated children's privacy.

This is one of the largest settlements for child privacy violations. TikTok and its parent company ByteDance were criticized for collecting children's data in a lawsuit filed in 2024.
