893 lives lost in Ebola outbreak in Democratic Republic of the Congo

The Ebola outbreak that began in May in the Democratic Republic of the Congo continues to grow.

As of 17 July, 2,267 confirmed cases and 893 deaths have been recorded in the country. The latest data from officials shows that the outbreak has reached a mortality rate of approximately 39 percent.
