The European Commission announces the rule of law report for the EU and candidate countries

The European Commission presented its seventh annual report assessing the state of the rule of law in the European Union and four candidate countries.

According to the report, reforms are continuing in the assessed countries. However, more effort and additional steps are needed in the judicial system, the fight against corruption, and the media sector.
