UK heatwaves in May and June linked to over 2,700 deaths

Record-breaking heatwaves in the United Kingdom during May and June have been linked to over 2,700 deaths in England and Wales.

Researchers from Imperial College London, the Meteorological Office, and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine arrived at this estimate using weather data and climate models.
