The Discovery of America by Christopher Columbus

On August 3, 1492, Christopher Columbus set sail from Spain with 90 sailors.

After a three-month journey, Columbus and his crew encountered the local population on the island of Guanahani. Columbus named this island San Salvador and declared it a part of Spain.
