Russia's Last Mediterranean Base

After approximately 20 months of negotiations between Russia and Syria, the fate of Russia's last base in the Mediterranean has been decided.

Russia has decided to vacate its naval base in the port of Tartus, Syria. This decision comes after Russia's other major base in Syria, the Hmeimim airbase, was also vacated.
