UNESCO Adds Mount Olympus to World Heritage List After 12 Years

UNESCO included Mount Olympus in the World Heritage List on July 26, 2026.

This decision took a full 12 years to be made. Mount Olympus holds a central place in Western civilizations and the collective imagination worldwide.
