Nuclear Power Plant Shut Down in Hungary Due to Drought

Hungary's only nuclear power plant was shut down due to the prolonged drought and low water levels in the Danube River.

The plant accounted for 40% of the country's annual energy production. The government warned that if the water level drops further, the plant will be completely shut down.
