Backlash against exorbitant increases in bottle and beverage prices following the deposit system

New Path Party Group Leader Ekmen criticized the exorbitant price hikes in markets following the deposit system that went into effect on 1 July.

Stating that only a 1 lira deposit fee should be applied, he noted that prices for beverage groups were increased by 2 to 5 lira, characterizing this as opportunism.
