Fast Catamaran Carrying 266 Passengers Sinks Off Girne

A fast catamaran carrying 266 passengers began taking on water and sank shortly after departing from the port of Girne (Kyrenia) in northern Cyprus.

Initial reports indicate the water ingress occurred at the start of the voyage.
