Normandy's D-Day Landing Beaches Added to UNESCO World Heritage List

UNESCO has added the D-Day landing beaches in Normandy to the World Heritage List.

The 80-kilometer coastline in northwest France is a historically significant site where Allied forces landed in June 1944.
