Akdeniz Fenerbahçeliler Derneği prepares to determine its new management at the general assembly in Antalya

Akdeniz Fenerbahçeliler Derneği has entered into a comprehensive election process to determine the new board of directors and supervisory board members to serve in the upcoming term. According to a last-minute statement from the association management, the general assembly process planned for the spring months was decided to be postponed once again to a new date in accordance with customs and harmony. In this context, instead of the initially announced date of July 18, 2026, an update was made to Saturday, July 25, 2026, at 11:30 to ensure healthier conduct of the meeting and the democratic process. This important meeting, eagerly awaited by members and the board of directors, will be held in the Perge Hall within the Atatürk Kültür Merkezi (AKM) located in the Muratpaşa district of Antalya, which holds an important place in the city's cultural life.

The official agenda of the general assembly meeting will be conducted in the order determined within the framework of the association's bylaws and the Turkish Civil Code, starting first with the establishment of the presidential board and the handover of the management structure. The meeting, which will begin with a moment of silence and the reading of the İstiklal Marşı, will continue after the reinforcement of unity and solidarity with the reading of the two-year activity reports to be presented by the board of directors and the supervisory board. Members will examine the association's financial statements, expenditures, and activities from the past period in detail and cast their votes on whether to acquit these activities. Additionally, one of the most important items on the general assembly agenda is how the entrance fees and annual membership dues collected from members will be redetermined in line with current economic conditions and association needs in order to increase association revenues and ensure the correct use of resources.

Another matter closely concerning the meeting and likely to create debate among members is the strict administrative measures regarding membership durations and membership dues. In accordance with the relevant articles of the association's bylaws, the authorization for the board of directors to terminate the membership of members who do not fulfill their due obligations and do not agree to pay their debts by December 31, 2026, will be discussed unanimously. To ensure this process proceeds fairly, the board of directors announced that membership dues must be fully paid by July 8, 2026, at the latest, for the right to vote in the general assembly to remain preserved and the condition of being a candidate for organs to be maintained.

The most curious and political part of the agenda will undoubtedly be the excitement of the election where the new president and board of directors will be determined. Although there are speculations about whether the current president and board members will run for office or if new names will be on the list, presidential candidates will take the stage in the final part of the meeting to address the members and present their visions. Immediately following these speeches, in the secret ballot to be held, the new board of directors, supervisory board, and disciplinary board principal and substitute members who will determine the strategies for the next two years will be selected. Members will have the opportunity to go to the polls and choose the names that will shape the future of the association.

The management of Akdeniz Fenerbahçeliler Derneği emphasized in a written press statement that the general assembly is a platform where internal democracy is experienced at the highest level and called on all members. The statement noted, "It is very valuable to us that the intense participation of our members is reflected at the ballot box and that they make the best decision for our association." Additionally, highlighting the importance of organized power in supporting the Fenerbahçe club and team, the management stated that they aim to be stronger on the field and in the stands with the new team to be formed after the election. The meeting, which will end with a closing speech following the wishes and requests section, aims to be one of the general assemblies with the highest attendance in the association's history.
