31 suspects arrested in drug operation in Ankara

In the drug operation conducted under the coordination of Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, a large number of suspects were reached. As a result of intelligence and technical surveillance work by the police teams, a detention order was issued for 119 suspects who were determined to be involved in drug trafficking.

Within the scope of the operation, 76 detained suspects were referred to the courthouse. After the prosecutor's interrogations, 52 suspects were brought before the court with a request for arrest. The duty criminal magistrate arrested 31 suspects, while releasing 21 suspects by applying judicial control conditions.

During the investigations, it was determined that some suspects used social media to promote drug use. It was reported that investigations continue to capture the fugitive suspects who are being sought.
