Four Children Rescued After Getting Trapped in Tawi River in Jammu

In the Jammu region, four children who were trapped in the Tawi River due to a sudden rise in water levels were safely rescued through a successful rescue operation on Saturday. Thanks to the coordinated efforts of the teams immediately dispatched to the scene, the children escaped life-threatening danger. This rescue operation once again highlighted the importance of officials being prepared for disaster situations.

According to statements from officials, the children were swimming in the river at the time of the incident and became stranded when they could not return to the shore in the face of an unexpected rise in water levels. Upon realizing the severity of the situation, the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) was quickly dispatched to the area. The operation conducted under difficult conditions proved the timely intervention capability of the security forces in the region.

As soon as the incident was reported, SDPO City North and Pacca Danga Police Station Officer-in-Charge (SHO) officials quickly went into action with the SDRF team to start rescue efforts. As a result of the hard work they carried out on the riverbank, the teams managed to get all four children out of the river safe and sound. This successful operation was the result of cooperation between the police and disaster teams.

Following the completion of the rescue operation, officials issued an important warning regarding public safety. In a written statement made by SDPO City North, it was emphasized that citizens should not approach riverbanks and that children should not enter the water, especially during periods when there is a risk of rising water levels.
