A soy chunk production facility located in the Deshrajpalli area of Ramadugu mandal in Karimnagar district came under the microscope during a massive operation conducted by food safety officials and special task police forces. The operation was carried out following reports that materials absolutely unsuitable for human consumption were being used in the facility's production processes, prompting a detailed investigation. As a result of surprise inspections, an inventory of thousands of kilograms of raw materials, found to be non-compliant with quality standards on the production line, was identified and immediately seized by the authorities. The raid aims to protect public health as part of the fight against businesses in the region that do not comply with food production standards.

Searches at the production facility operating under the name of Megha Industries revealed serious findings that could endanger consumer health, and a large quantity of products was seized in the warehouses. During counting, 1,580 kilograms of 'rough bran' classified as animal feed and unsuitable for human consumption, as well as 750 kilograms of ready-made soy chunks, were seized. According to official records, this unhealthy raw material was stored in 33 separate bags, while the produced soy products were stored in 38 bags; both product groups were safely sealed by the authorities and taken for laboratory analysis.

The information obtained and examinations made within the scope of the investigation made it necessary to also scrutinize the supply chain of the unhealthy raw material in question and to identify accomplices. As a result of detailed tracking, it was determined that the firm supplying these unsuitable materials to the facility in Karimnagar was Shivatara Grain Milling Private Limited operating in the city of Warangal. This determination led to the adoption of a strategy to expand the investigation not only to the production facility but also to the suppliers, aiming to break the entire chain of adulterated food trade.

Within the scope of the operation, simultaneous searches were conducted at the headquarters of the supplier firm located in Warangal, dealing a blow to smuggling activities in the region and collecting necessary evidence. In searches at the company's warehouses, products weighing 49 kilograms, labelled as rough bran and substandard, were found in 211 separate bags and were immediately seized by authorities to be taken to safe storage for disposal. This large stock identified in Warangal clearly revealed how extensive the supply network of unhealthy food items is and that they are being circulated in large commercial volumes.

While the legal process and technical examination process continue, samples were taken from all seized products and sent to the state laboratory for detailed analysis, and a report is being awaited. Based on the laboratory results to be obtained, it is planned to initiate necessary administrative and criminal proceedings against the company owners and responsible persons for violating food safety laws. Authorities making a statement regarding the incident emphasized that such inspections will continue uninterruptedly to protect the health of citizens and that keeping the safety of every food presented to the public at the highest level is among their priorities.
