Number of Programs at Kastamonu University Granted the Right to Use the TYÇ Logo Increases

11 different education programs affiliated with various vocational schools and schools within Kastamonu University have achieved significant success by gaining the right to use the Türkiye Yeterlilikler Çerçevesi (TYÇ) logo. This development is of great importance as it demonstrates the university's academic quality and compliance with international standards, and it has been stated that official permissions have been obtained for this logo to be used on diplomas within the scope of rights provided to graduates of the relevant programs. In line with the decision, the Computer Programming program at Cide Rıfat Ilgaz Vocational School and the Cooking program at Daday Nafi ve Ümit Çeri Vocational School are among the trainings that earned this right. In addition, the Printing and Publishing Technologies, Computer Programming, Electricity, Electronic Technology, Business Administration, Machinery and Mechatronics programs affiliated with Kastamonu Vocational School were also considered within the scope. Furthermore, the First and Emergency Aid program at Taşköprü Vocational School and the Electricity program at Tosya Vocational School are also counted among the other units granted the right to bear the TYÇ logo.

The right to use the logo in question was granted to these programs with the decision made at the 53rd Türkiye Yeterlilikler Çerçevesi (TYÇ) Board meeting held on June 5, 2026, and the process was formalized. The addition of 11 more programs to this list as a result of the work carried out in the first six months of 2026 clearly reveals the university's sustainable success and improvement efforts in education. With these latest additions, the total number of programs authorized to use the TYÇ logo across Kastamonu University has risen to 25, thus significantly expanding the institution's capacity in the field of qualifications. This situation is considered a result of the university's strategies to increase education quality, while also showing how deeply the institution is integrated into the national qualification system. This step, taken to enable graduates to move more comfortably on the international platform, is described as a product of the coordinated work of academic and administrative units.

The presence of the TYÇ logo on graduation certificates is a concrete document that guarantees the quality and international validity of their education, going beyond just being a symbol for students. Through this logo, it is aimed to increase the international visibility of the qualifications and competencies possessed by graduates, thereby facilitating their access to opportunities abroad. Easier recognition and acceptance of diplomas by foreign institutions and employers plays a critical role in ensuring graduates get the return on the accumulation they gained throughout their education lives. Being able to benefit from opportunities provided in education and employment processes more effectively and efficiently is among the main benefits of this system, while it will also create a strong reference for graduates in their transition to professional life. Thus, an important step has been taken towards raising individuals who can compete globally, not only within our country's borders.

Kastamonu University Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, who made statements regarding the issue, emphasized the importance of the matter by conveying the basic principles and vision they target as a university in detail. Rector Topal stated that they have determined increasing their recognition at national and international level, raising qualified and equipped graduates, and continuously improving quality in education-teaching processes as their top priority. In this context, he expressed his gratitude to all academic and administrative staff who put in intensive effort and who contributed to gaining the right to use the TYÇ logo, appreciating their work. The Rector stated that he believes this success will contribute significantly to making the qualifications of graduates more visible in the international arena and thus increasing the recognition and prestige of their diplomas. He added that development is part of the institution's overall success and that they will continue on this path.

Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal delivered a speech of thanks expressing his gratitude to the institutions and individuals who contributed to the management and support of the process during the continuation of his evaluations. In this context, he offered special gratitude to Council of Higher Education (YÖK) President Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar and Higher Education Quality Council (YÖKAK) President Prof. Dr. Ümit Kocabıçak for their support and guidance during the process. He also thanked the Council of Higher Education members for their close interest and support during this process, emphasizing their contributions to the transformation of the works carried out in cooperation into the university's achievements. The Rector's statements are interpreted as an indicator of the importance given to the Türkiye Yeterlilikler Çerçevesi process by the academic and administrative structure, which is further strengthened by the support it receives from the university's senior management. This culture of cooperation will continue to play a role in the university reaching its goals in the coming periods.
