31 suspects detained in modem fraud operation across 7 provinces centered in Kayseri

The extensive 'modem fraud' operation, centered in Kayseri and spanning seven different provinces, was successfully concluded thanks to the successful efforts of the security forces. As part of the detailed investigation into the matter, numerous steps were taken targeting the financial and logistical resources of the fraud gang. Within the scope of the operation, a total of 53 suspects, for whom detention warrants were issued, were apprehended and taken into custody through simultaneous raids by law enforcement units. A judicial process was initiated against the suspects on the grounds that they defrauded citizens by abusing the opportunities provided by technology.

The detained suspects were subjected to detention trial at the judicial authorities they were referred to after their statements were taken at the police station. It was emphasized that such criminal organizations cause both material and spiritual damage by shaking trust in the eyes of the public, and operations will continue uninterrupted to prevent this situation. Warnings were made that citizens should be careful about sharing financial resources from similar addresses and in suspicious situations without verification.

The operation carried out simultaneously at different points of Turkey once again demonstrated the coordinated work ability of security units and their determination to combat crime.
