Blow to illegal betting in Kütahya's Tavşanlı district: 8 suspects released under judicial control

8 suspects, who were detained in an illegal betting operation conducted by gendarmerie teams in Kütahya's Tavşanlı district, were released under judicial control by the court they were brought before. The incident came to light following a tip-off that illegal betting was being operated in the district. Upon this, Tavşanlı District Gendarmerie Command teams closely monitored the situation and launched a comprehensive investigation. Following this process, technical and physical surveillance methods were used extensively to apprehend the suspects. Simultaneous raids were conducted at the addresses identified in line with the clues obtained.

According to the information seized within the scope of the operation, it was understood that the betting network operated in a highly organized manner. Gendarmerie teams clarified the identities of the suspects and the addresses where they operated as a result of months of technical surveillance and intelligence work. The detained suspects were first taken to the gendarmerie station to have their statements taken.
