Fire extinguished in a fuel tanker in Mardin

A fire broke out in a moving fuel tanker in Hasantepe Mahallesi of Mardin for an as-yet-unknown reason. The incident occurred when the tanker, whose driver's name and license plate have not yet been learned, caught fire while in motion. Upon noticing the situation, nearby citizens immediately reported it to the 112 Acil Çağrı Merkezi. Following the report, numerous fire crews were dispatched to the scene. The teams intervened in the fire in a short time and brought the flames under control.

While the cause of the fire has not yet become clear, an investigation has been launched regarding the incident. Thanks to the rapid intervention of the fire crews, the fire was extinguished before it could grow, and it was prevented from spreading to surrounding buildings. While there were no casualties or injuries in the incident, material damage occurred to the tanker. Authorities are continuing their efforts to determine the cause of the fire.

The fire crews arriving at the scene intervened by using foam and water to extinguish the fire. As a result of the teams' work lasting about an hour, the fire was completely extinguished. After the cooling operations, the tanker was towed to a safe area. Police teams also launched an investigation regarding the incident.
