Simultaneous Operation Against FETÖ in 13 Provinces by MİT and Police: 78 Detainees

A large-scale operation, centered in İstanbul and spanning 13 provinces, was conducted against the FETÖ/PDY terrorist organization by the National Intelligence Organization (MİT) and İstanbul police. 78 suspects, including those identified as acting within the organization's current structure and its financial managers, were detained. The operation exposed the organization's regional structuring, recruitment methods, and communication tactics.

As the 10th anniversary of the organization's coup attempt approaches, the work of the security units revealed that it is attempting to regain strength by dividing İstanbul into so-called regions. It was determined that the suspects communicated via internet-based applications for security purposes, attended training camps in visa-free countries, and tried to recruit university students into the organization. Additionally, it was identified that certain individuals acted as financial managers, collecting money under the name of 'himmet' in İstanbul, Yalova, Kırklareli, and Tekirdağ.

A significant amount of cash and digital materials were seized during searches at the addresses of the detained suspects. The 78 captured suspects were taken to the İstanbul Police Department for interrogation, and it was reported that the investigation procedures are ongoing.
