Terrifying traffic accident in Tunceli: 1 person lost their life, 5 injured

A severe traffic accident occurring in the afternoon at the Halvori Gözeleri location on the Ovacık highway in Tunceli has caused concern and sorrow in the region. The incident, involving a pickup truck with license plate 23 AFN 923, whose driver's identity has not yet been determined, and an automobile with license plate 62 AC 553, took place in the form of a head-on collision. Due to the severity of the impact, both vehicles sustained major damage, and the passengers inside were seriously harmed. Immediately following the accident, the rapid and attentive intervention of the local people alerted the authorities, and upon this notification, health, gendarmerie, and fire brigade teams were dispatched to the scene. The teams reaching the site conducted a difficult effort to stabilize the condition of the injured and extract them safely from the vehicles.

As the repercussions of the accident continued, it was confirmed that 6 people found in the vehicles, whose identities were partially kept confidential, were injured. The injured include Ali İhsan Kandil (52), İ.Ç.K. (13), A.R.K. (13), Ö.T.K. (18), K.M. (48), and A.Ç. (39). Some of these individuals remained trapped inside the vehicle due to the force of the collision and were carefully extricated from their locations with meticulous rescue operations. After the initial intervention at the scene, the injured were transferred to Tunceli State Hospital for treatment under the most appropriate conditions according to their health status. The condition of Ali İhsan Kandil, one of the patients admitted to the hospital, followed a more critical course than the others.

After this sad news was conveyed from the hospital to his family and officials, the deceased's body was taken to the hospital morgue for autopsy procedures as required by legal protocols. However, hospital sources have not made a clear statement at this stage regarding whether the other injured have life-threatening conditions. The treatment of the other 5 injured individuals is continuing meticulously, and developments in their health conditions are being closely monitored.
