Mother of Famous Lawyer Evita Varela Targeted by Scammers: 20.000 Euro and Jewelry Stolen

The scammers used their persuasive tactics to convince the elderly woman to let them accompany her to her home, during which the incident took on a new dimension according to the news report by Mega channel. Once inside the house, the female accomplice continuously distracted the elderly woman by engaging her in various topics. Thanks to this distraction tactic, the male suspect who infiltrated the house found the opportunity to wander around freely. Shortly after, searching the corners and hidden compartments of the house, the male suspect stole 20.000 euro in cash and precious jewelry. The elderly woman experienced deep insecurity and fear upon realizing that she was this vulnerable even in the safe space of her own home.

The initial investigations conducted by the authorities and the evidence obtained clearly reveal that the incident was not a coincidence.
