7 People Stranded on Lake Van Rescued by Police Teams

In an incident that occurred in Lake Van, located within the borders of Van's Tatvan district, seven citizens who were stranded due to severe weather conditions or a mechanical malfunction with their boat were rescued safely. According to obtained information, a group consisting of four adults and three children set sail on a zodiac-type boat near the Kıyıdüzü village of Tatvan and became unable to return shortly after setting off. Upon the situation being reported to the authorities, Tatvan Harbor District Directorate teams were immediately dispatched to the region to prevent a potential tragedy.

The police teams arriving at the scene reached the stranded citizens as part of the rescue efforts, and initial checks fortunately determined that there were no injuries or health issues. With the rescue of these seven people, who were in a situation posing a security risk in the middle of the lake or along the coastal strip, the dangerous state was ended by taking them onto the police boat. After the successful conclusion of the rescue operation, the citizens were safely moved away from the area and evacuated to the dock within the Tatvan Police Camp complex.

The group brought to the dock within the Tatvan Police Camp was handed over to medical teams here, and it was confirmed that their condition was good. The rescue operation was completed with a professional intervention and composure without allowing panic during the process. It was determined that the citizens later returned to their homes on their own and escaped unscathed from the frightening event they experienced.
