European Commission proposes that EU countries allocate at least half of their ETS revenues to decarbonization

The European Commission has proposed a comprehensive reform of the European Union's Emissions Trading System (ETS).

With the new regulation, EU member countries will be obliged to allocate at least 50 percent of the revenues obtained from ETS auctions to decarbonization investments.
