Typhoon 'Bavi' passing over China turns into a tropical storm

The typhoon 'Bavi', passing over China, lost its strength and fell into the tropical cyclone category.

However, heavy rains and strong winds affecting the region continue. Authorities made the evacuation of approximately 2.8 million people mandatory for security reasons.
