A coordinated cyber crime operation carried out in 14 different provinces, centered in Kayseri, marked a significant success in the struggle of security forces against criminal activities in the digital environment. The General Directorate of Security Cyber Crimes Department led the operations; the Financial Crimes Investigation Board (MASAK) and relevant Republican Chief Prosecutor's Offices also provided support, operating a comprehensive legal and financial review process. These operations are of great importance in demonstrating that the legal mechanism is effectively activated against criminal organizations and individuals operating in the shadowy side of the digital world.

Within the scope of operations carried out with intense effort in the last five days, a total of 306 suspects, determined to be involved in various cyber crimes, were detained. Regarding some of the apprehended suspects, detention orders were issued as a result of the evaluations by the judicial authorities, while some were released under judicial control provisions. Initial examinations directed at statements and digital evidence revealed that the crimes committed by the suspects spread across a very wide spectrum in terms of quality and quantity.

When the activities of the suspects are examined in detail, it is seen that one of the heaviest elements of crime, the activity of storing and sharing indecent images of children in the online environment, was detected. In addition, methods such as using POS devices to commit loan sharking within the scope of financial crimes, setting up phishing sites to seize citizens' personal information, and realizing investment fraud via social media platforms were used intensively. These crimes pose serious threats to both the financial and moral rights of individuals.

As another type of crime targeting financial security, activities were organized to steal balances by gaining unauthorized access to citizens' mobile banking accounts and game accounts. In addition, engaging in advertising activities to promote illegal betting and gambling sites, mediating money transfers to these sites, and fueling this illegal economic cycle were among other significant crimes detected. Defrauding citizens by deceiving them over petty issues such as internet modem fees and fake product costs were also among the other cunning methods resorted to by the suspects.

The fact that the number of suspects detained as a result of the operations reached 306 presents striking data regarding the prevalence of cyber crimes in the country, while it was stated that the process has not yet been completed and legal proceedings continue regarding other suspects. These simultaneous operations in 14 provinces, especially Kayseri, proved once again that the fight against cyber crimes requires not only local but national-scale coordination and cooperation. The digital evidence-based work of security forces played a decisive role in the apprehension of the criminals and their delivery to justice.
