43-Year-Old Woman Found Dead in Her Home in Antalya Kepez

In a sad incident that occurred in the Kepez district of Antalya, 43-year-old Hasibe Nihal Kalaycı was found dead, having ended her life in her home. The incident took place on the third floor of an apartment building located on 6426 Sokak, Çankaya Mahallesi. Kalaycı, who was learned to have returned from Ankara, was found motionless in her living room by her relatives at around 13.30 on 9 Temmuz 2026. Upon the immediate notification of the situation to the authorities, a large number of police and medical teams were dispatched to the area. While extensive security measures were taken at and around the crime scene, the process began to be carried out meticulously.

The 112 Emergency Call Center medical teams, who were the first to arrive at the scene, determined in their medical checks that the woman had passed away. Afterwards, the municipal doctor called to the region found the death suspicious in his initial examination at the scene and reported the situation to the official authorities. Following the municipal doctor's suspicious death report, the process was handed over to a police investigation. Upon this development, teams from the Antalya Provincial Police Department Public Security Branch Directorate and Crime Scene Investigation units quickly arrived at the address. The teams started a meticulous study to ensure that no evidence disappeared at the crime scene.

The Public Security Branch Directorate teams conducted a detailed evidence collection process in the house where the incident took place and its surroundings. The Crime Scene Investigation teams examined many parts of the house to collect fingerprints, DNA, and other biological findings. The authorities also examined the security cameras in the vicinity to detect any suspicious movement before and after the incident. After the preliminary investigation was completed, Hasibe Nihal Kalaycı's lifeless body was made ready to be transferred for further procedures. At this stage, the teams evaluated all the data to clarify whether the death was due to natural causes or involved a criminal element.

Upon the death incident being deemed suspicious, Kalaycı's lifeless body was transferred to the Antalya Forensic Medicine Institution morgue to determine the exact cause of death. The autopsy procedure to be performed at the Forensic Medicine Institution will play a key role in elucidating the incident. The data to be obtained from the autopsy will reveal how the woman's life was ended or whether there was any external intervention. This detailed examination to be carried out by forensic medicine experts will directly affect the future course of the investigation. The authorities state that the behind-the-scenes of the incident will become clear once the autopsy results are announced.

It was announced that a comprehensive investigation was launched by the Antalya Provincial Police Department regarding the incident. The police forces are meticulously continuing their investigations towards individuals who may be connected to the incident. Within the scope of the investigation, the woman's movements during her return from Ankara and the people she last contacted are also being questioned. It is stated that in the upcoming process, detentions may be carried out in line with the collected evidence and the autopsy report. The authorities emphasized that they will continue to inform the public in case of any new developments regarding the matter.
