Changes in global oil prices and fluctuations in the exchange rate continue to impact fuel prices in Turkey. According to the information obtained, the new determined tariff will be implemented as of midnight on pazartesi günü. This hike, covering the diesel group, will bring an increase of approximately 1 lira 31 kuruş per liter. With this new regulation, which will officially start on salı günü, the prices reflected at the pump are expected to rise significantly. Vehicle owners will need to make new adjustments to their budgets starting from these dates. Industry representatives state that the likelihood of this increase being withdrawn in the short term is low.

Following the price hike, it has also become clear what levels current diesel prices in major cities will reach. The average diesel liter price in İstanbul is expected to rise to approximately 66 TL. In the capital, Ankara, prices are expected to reach the level of 67,07 TL. In İzmir, the major city of the Aegean region, drivers are expected to face a figure such as 67,34 TL. These local figures reveal how much the fuel budget has burdened people across Turkey.
