3 people lost their lives in the fatal traffic accident in Çankırı, there are many injured

A tragic traffic accident that occurred near Bozkır village in the Kızılırmak district of Çankırı has caused deep sorrow in the region. The accident, which took place on the Çankırı-Kızılırmak highway and involved a light commercial vehicle and a passenger car, resulted in severe consequences. The severity of the accident and the immediate notifications ensured that the scene was promptly cordoned off by security forces and medical teams. It was revealed that one of the involved vehicles collided head-on with the other vehicle traveling from the opposite direction, resulting in a tragedy, and numerous teams were dispatched to the scene.

One of the vehicles involved in the accident was the passenger car with license plate 16 ALY 258 driven by İzzet Gümüşbuğa, while the other was a Fiat-brand light commercial vehicle with license plate 06 HD 7613 driven by Remzi Akdemir. According to initial examinations and gathered information, the collision of the two vehicles while driving in opposite directions is considered the primary cause of the accident. Both vehicles sustained heavy damage due to the impact, while citizens at the scene and subsequently arriving medical teams assisted the injured. Despite the serious condition of the injured, they were transported to the hospital with the rapid intervention of the teams.

The most heartbreaking result of the accident was the loss of life at the scene of the passenger car driver İzzet Gümüşbuğa and 12-year-old Hasan Salih Gümüşbuğa, who was in the same vehicle. The bodies of the tragically deceased child and the driver were taken to the morgue after the forensic medicine process for autopsy procedures. The pain of the family losing individuals in the same accident created a shock wave in the region, and it was shared that the bodies were sent to the Çankırı Municipality Mortuary.

The other passengers injured in the accident and in critical condition, light commercial vehicle driver Remzi Akdemir (75), and those in the car Çiğdem G. (30), Abdullah G. (5), Esma Betül G. (9), and Muhammet Emir Gümüşbuğa (5), were admitted to the emergency room of Çankırı State Hospital. Doctors at the hospital began intensive treatment for the injured; however, the elderly driver Remzi Akdemir could not be saved despite all interventions and lost his life. With this development, the death toll in the accident rose to 3, while the treatment of other injured continues at the hospital.

Upon the news of the event, official authorities and security forces in Çankırı launched a detailed investigation into the causes of the accident. While security measures on the highway were increased, legal procedures were initiated for the funeral proceedings of the deceased. This event, which caused widespread repercussions in the community, once again serves as a warning regarding traffic safety and adherence to rules. Following the examination, the bodies await the completion of mortuary processes to be handed over to their relatives.
