Road collapsed in Gustavo A. Madero: Truck fell into a sinkhole, security cordon established

A concerning incident occurred in the Cuchilla del Tesoro neighborhood of the Gustavo A. Madero municipality of Mexico City, the capital of Mexico, involving a truck carrying construction materials falling into a road collapse (socavón). The event took place at the intersection of Texcoko Street and 613th Street and developed when the vehicle's rear left side suddenly sank into an underground void while the driver was inside. This accident highlighted the danger of infrastructure weaknesses in the area, particularly land subsidence that increases during the rainy season.

Numerous emergency teams were dispatched to the scene, and extensive security measures were taken in the area. Teams continue their inspections without pause to determine the size and cause of the void.
