Terrible accident in Konya: Car hits median and rolls over, 1 injured

An incident occurred on Çeçenistan Caddesi in the center of Konya, startling authorities with an unusual accident report. It was determined that a vehicle with license plate 42 BCR 88, driven by H.S., lost control suddenly while in motion due to the driver losing steering control. Upon the news of the accident reaching the authorities, a large number of police, fire, and health teams were dispatched to the scene, initiating a rescue operation that was literally a race against time. A.H., who was in the car as a passenger, became trapped as a result of the severe deformation caused by the collision as the vehicle rolled over and its roof collapsed, turning into a heap of metal. Realizing the severity of the situation, professional fire teams deployed special equipment such as wreckers and hydraulic cutters, working with great dedication to reach the injured. During the delicate operation to rescue the injured person trapped in the vehicle, the crowd gathered around watched the teams work with bated breath during tense moments.

As a result of the intense and meticulous work of the fire teams, the accident victim A.H. was safely extracted from the trapped position and handed over to medical personnel without losing any time. The emergency aid teams, who had been positioned and waiting at the scene, performed the vital first intervention on the injured person extracted from the vehicle within seconds. After the patient's general health condition was evaluated, vital functions were stabilized, and they were fixed to a stretcher with a collar against possible trauma, they were immediately moved to an ambulance. To avoid losing time in the treatment process, the ambulance moved to the hospital with sirens and delivered the injured person to the emergency department of Necmettin Erbakan Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Hastanesi.

It is learned that detailed examinations and medical treatment of the injured, who was received by expert physicians at the hospital's emergency service, has begun, while it was determined that the other driver and passengers at the scene survived this violent collision without physical injury. This situation was recorded as a comforting detail despite the grave consequences of the event. After the rescue and health teams completed their vital duties, the police teams started a detailed judicial and administrative investigation process to clarify the cause of the accident. The police are deepening the official investigation to determine whether the reason for the driver's loss of steering control was speeding, a technical malfunction, or another factor.

As a result of the accident, traffic was closed on Çeçenistan Caddesi and long vehicle queues formed, so security measures were increased in the region. Under the direction of the police teams, traffic flow was maintained in a controlled manner from a single lane for a while. After the vehicles involved in the accident, which were heavily damaged, were removed from the road by tow trucks and municipal teams cleaned the glass shards and debris on the asphalt, transportation returned to its normal flow.
