Experts state that this increase in ocean temperatures could have devastating effects on marine ecosystems. While coral reefs face the risk of bleaching, fish populations and other marine life are also negatively affected by temperature changes. Additionally, warmer oceans can increase the intensity of hurricanes and contribute to rising sea levels. This situation poses a serious threat to millions of people living in coastal areas.

Scientists express that these record temperatures could also be linked to the El Niño phenomenon. El Niño affects global weather patterns as part of the temperature cycles in the Pasifik Okyanusu. However, due to climate change, the impacts of such natural events are becoming even more severe. Researchers emphasize that more studies need to be conducted to understand the long-term consequences of this increase in ocean temperatures.

The main cause of this increase is the greenhouse gases released into the atmosphere as a result of burning fossil fuels.
