High Interest in Muftulate Marriages in Tavşanlı District of Kütahya

In line with the '2026-2035 Aile ve Nüfus On Yılı' vision declared by the Presidency, efforts to protect and strengthen the family institution are continuing across Turkey. In this context, a notable increase in demand for official marriage services has been observed in the Tavşanlı district of Kütahya. Citizens now prefer muftulate services for marriage procedures more frequently, highlighting once again the importance of the services provided by local administrations.

According to information received, the Tavşanlı District Muftulate worked intensively in the first six months of 2026, officiating a total of 62 official marriage ceremonies. The official marriage services conducted meticulously under the muftulate continue to receive the necessary attention from citizens. In particular, the officiation of 6 couples' marriages in a single day set a new record in the district, proving the high level of interest.

The marriage ceremonies conducted by the Muftulate are not merely official procedures but also have an educational aspect for the couples. During the ceremony, couples are provided detailed information about the spiritual dimension of the marriage contract, as well as the place and importance of the family institution in society. Additionally, couples are enlightened with brief yet concise information on the cornerstones of married life, such as love, respect, fidelity, and mutual responsibility.

Following the marriage ceremonies, it is wished that the couples entering the world of wedlock carry out their family lives more consciously with guidance. Accordingly, gift sets containing special publications prepared by the Diyanet İşleri Başkanlığı and the Kur'an-ı Kerim are presented to the couples to help them preserve their spiritual values.
