Lambayeque Judiciary opens registration for baptism and communion classes for court personnel

The High Court of Justice of the Lambayeque region has launched a comprehensive religious education program to support the spiritual needs of its staff. Organized through the institution's official Chaplaincy unit, this initiative targets court workers and their families who have not yet received the Christian initiation sacraments. The program aims to provide the necessary spiritual preparation and guidance for this important step in their faith journey within a professional environment. Accordingly, interested individuals will be provided the opportunity to receive sacraments such as Bautismo (Baptism), Confirmación (Confirmation), and Eucaristía (Communion). With the responsibility of being a privileged institution, the High Court aims to contribute not only to the professional but also to the spiritual development of its employees.

The application process has been facilitated through both physical and digital channels, offering flexibility according to preferences. For registration, individuals are required to visit the Presidency of the High Court office in person to meet with lawyer Analí Paucar Millones or contact via the email address apaucarm@pj.gob.pe. The registration form must fully include the candidates' full names, identity numbers (DNI), the type of sacrament desired, and their current court unit details. This detailed registration procedure is mandatory to ensure proper file creation and the smooth conduct of the process. For personnel working in various court units who may find it difficult to come to the institution center, the virtual application channel provides great convenience. This step aims to strengthen internal communication while respecting the private lives of employees.

The education program is scheduled according to a specific calendar to allow participants to balance their busy work lives with religious obligations. The catechism sessions will officially start on July 20 in the second half of the year and continue at an intensive pace for about three months. During this preparation phase, which will continue until the end of October, participants will receive comprehensive information about the spiritual meanings, rituals, and Church teachings of the sacraments. Material and spiritual resources have been mobilized to ensure this period is sufficient and efficient, and the training will be conducted by expert clergy. Suitable hours have been chosen so that trainees can participate in the programs without taking leave from their work lives. For those who complete their training by the end of October, the next stage is the official reception of the sacraments on the determined date.

The sacrament reception ceremony will take place at the Santa María Cathedral Parish (Parroquia Santa María Catedral), a site of great importance in the region geographically and historically. This historic venue was chosen as a special location to emphasize the spiritual weight of the program and the importance of the ceremony. Participants, after months of preparation, will achieve the honor of receiving these sacraments for the first time before the faith community during the liturgy to be held in the cathedral. With such a ceremony, the Lambayeque High Court of Justice demonstrates its institutional structure not only as a legal entity but also as a community attached to spiritual values.
